About Yershagumba

यार्सागुम्बाः केही वैज्ञानिक तथ्य यार्सागुम्बा हिमाली क्षेत्रमा पाइने बहुमूल्य जडिबुटीको रूपमा चिनिँदै आएको छ । यो वनस्पति र किराबीचको अन्तरसम्बन्धको एउटा उदाहरण हो । यो च्याउको यस्तो प्रजाति हो जसले आपmनो सम्र्पूण जीवनचक्र पुतलीको लार्भाभित्र नै व्यतीत गर्छ । यार्सागुम्बा लार्भा अवस्थामा लाग्ने रोग हो जुन लार्भाको मृत्युपश्चात् बाहिर उम्रन्छ । यार्सागुम्बा च्याउको प्रजाति भए पनि अन्य च्याउहरूको जस्तो छाता भने हुँदैन । लार्भाले छाला फेर्ने अवस्थामा झरेका यार्सागुम्बाको बीउ अंकुरण भई पोषणतत्त्व सोस्न थाल्छ । यार्सागुम्बा भाँचेर हेर्‍यौं भने भित्री भाग सेतो ढिक्को देख्छौं । किराको भित्री भाग र यार्सागुम्बाको भित्री भाग एकै प्रकारको हुन्छ । यसको औषधीय महत्त्व धेरै अघिदेखि पत्ता लागेको हो । चार हजार वर्षभन्दा पनि पुरानो आत्रेय संहितामा भूसंजीवनी भनी नामकरण गरिएको छ जसलाई सान्निपातिक बृक्क...

Terhathum District

Terhathum District ( तेहृथुम ) Terhathum District A part of Kosi Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal। The district, with Myanglung as its district headquarters, covers an area of 679 km² and has a population (2001) of 113,111। The word Tehrathum is constructed from thirteen ("tehra") and "thum" (castle or fort). This can be spelled as Terathum, Tehrathum or Terhathum. The town supposedly is the site of one of a series of guard posts once protecting the territory of the Limbus (Limbuwan). Therathum is a word also used to mention Myanglung Bazar which has the district headquarters of Tehrathum. Myanglung is onomatopoeic for the sound of a cat meowing and refers to an old tradition of a Hindu temple (still extant) in the town which had a resident cat. The "myang" means cat and...

Dharan

Dharan's history can be traced back to 1584 A.D,to ten Kingdoms of Limbuwan which was also known as Pallo Kirat Pardesh (a collective of Ten Kirant Limbu Kingdoms). Dharan-Bijaypur was the capital city of the Morang kingdom of Limbuwan region. This was prior to conquest and annexation of the Kirat Kingdom by Gorkha King, King Prithivi Narayan Shah. Dharan was known as Bijaypur until the 1950s when the settlement grew on the southern portion of Bijaypur and took its own name of Dharan. History of Limbuwan shows that Dharan/Bijaypur was an important town. The indigenous people of Dharan are Limbu and Rai collectively known as Kiranti.
