Tara air-crash

The bodies of the three crewmembers killed in the Tara Air airplane crash has been handed over to their families on Friday.
The bodies were handed over to the families after autopsy at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in the Capital.
The last rites of the deceased—Captain Anup Raj Shakya, Co-Pilot Sachindra Shrestha and Air Hostess Sadikshya Gurung—will be carried out today, family sources have confirmed.
It is reported that the remains of the 19 foreign nationals killed in the crash—12 women and 7 men—have been identified. The bodies are undergoing autopsy, hospital sources confirmed.



The families of eight of the deceased passengers have arrived in the Capital. Meanwhile, the Bhutanese authority in Nepal is probing into the family ties of the rest of the victims.
The remains of the Twin Otter aircraft belonging to Tara Air, which had gone missing on Wednesday after take-off from the Lamidada Airport in Khotang district, were recovered at Sri Chaur VDC in Okhaldhunga yesterday morning.
All 22 people—19 passengers and three crewmembers—on board were killed in the mishap.
